This catalogue accompanies Semyon Faibisovich’s 2009 exhibition Razgulyai.
Features a series of paintings derived from mobile phone photographs. These photographs highlight everyday life in the Moscow district Razgulyai where he has been living for the past twenty years. The paintings portray marginalised, unglamorous individuals. The mobile phone to Faibisovich is a 'tool' (along with the "fine" art of painting and photoshop) for the production of a portrait of todays Russia.
Each image is a seperate fragment of the districts surroundings, all brought together in the book which echoes their relationship to one another in the city.
