This catalogue accompanied Nedko Solakov's 2011 exhibition All In Order, With Exceptions.
All In Order, With Exceptions is a chronological survey of Solakov’s practice, an amalgamation of four selections, made by three galleries - Ikon (UK), S.M.A.K. (Belgium) and Serralves (Portugal) - comprising one work per year since he emerged as an artist c. 1980
In order to present the full range of his humorous oeuvre, the catalogue All in Order, with Exceptions has taken an unusual tack: each of the four venues has selected one piece from every year included in the body of work created between 1980 to 2010. Yet these exemplary works can only be seen assembled in their entirety in this publication.
Includes texts by Iara Boubnova (founding Director of the Institute of Contemporary Art, Sofia), Christy Lange (writer, associate editor, Frieze) and an interview between the artist and Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev (Artistic Director, dOCUMENTA (13)).
Hardback, colour and black and white illustrations, 400 pages.
Please be aware there may be small yet noticeable signs of aging on the catalogues cover.
